BN Hudson, lovingly known to all as Nick, was born on June 23, 1942, and passed away peacefully on December 22, 2025, surrounded by family.

Nick was preceded in death by his parents, Elzia and Lula Hudson; his beloved wife of 51 years, Patricia Hudson; and his siblings, all of whom he loved deeply. He was a devoted and loving brother, a role he cherished throughout his life.

He is survived by his two daughters, Audra M. Abt (husband Brian J. Abt) and Cynthia A. Schlie (husband Harry G. Schlie). He was a proud grandfather to Tanner Spurlock (wife Shannon Spurlock), Nicolette Huenefeld, and London Huenefeld; a loving step-grandfather to Myles Abt (wife Megan Abt) and Austyn Abt; and a cherished great step-grandfather to Oliver J. Abt, beloved son of Myles and Megan Abt.

He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and by his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Chuck and Evelyn Hubig.

Nick proudly served in the United States Air Force for four years, reflecting his dedication, integrity, and love for his country.

Nick was a wonderful husband, a great dad, a proud papaw, and a cherished uncle who was loved by everyone who knew him. He was gentle, kind, caring, and endlessly generous—always willing to give the shirt off his back to help someone in need. Known for his sense of humor, Nick loved telling jokes and making others laugh, bringing joy and comfort wherever he went.

Though our hearts are broken, we find peace in knowing Nick has been reunited with his beloved wife, Patricia. His legacy of love, laughter, service, and kindness will live on through his family and all who were blessed to know him.
