Connie Sue Burton (nee Stephens) born on November 17, 1960, succumbed to her brave battle with cancer on February 4, 2026.

Connie is survived by her sons Brian Mortimer, Damian Mortimer, Tyler Stephens and 11 grandchildren. Siblings Beverly Chandler, Tommy Stephens and Nancy Jo Stephens. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Connie is preceded in death by her parents Marvin and Helen Stephens. Sons Joshua Stephens and Lawrence Mortimer II. Life partner Steve Chandler.

Connie loved to party with family and friends. She enjoyed a good game of Backgammon, loved to color and diamond dot as well as crochet beautiful afghans. Her battle with cancer was nothing short of brutal but she fought with all that she had. We ask that in lieu of flowers a donation to the American Cancer Society be made in her name.
