Edward Godby passed away peacefully surrounded by family. He was born on March 21, 1946, in Somerset, Kentucky, to the late Matthew (Roscoe) Godby and Virginia Estelle Smith

A proud American, he honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1964 to 1967. His service reflected the dedication, discipline, and strength that defined his life.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lois Ann Godby (née Vornhahen). Their marriage was a lasting testament to love and partnership. Ed was the loving father of four sons: Jimmy, Shannon, Charles, and Mike. He was also a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren—Karissa, Eric, Josh, Stacey, Michaela, Todd, and Elijah—and a cherished great-grandfather to nine great-grandchildren: Ryker, Connon, Mason Rey, Mason, Hunter, Rowan, Ashlynn, Austin, and Wyatt.

Graveside service on Tuesday, November 4 at 1:30 PM at St Joe Old Cemetery.
