Ellis Dewey Brown Jr., 92, passed away in his home on June 03, 2023 at 4:27 AM. He was born on December 02, 1930 in New Boston, Ohio. Ellis grew up in Portsmouth, Ohio before he and his wife, Barbara Jean Brown (Sams), eventually found a home in Cincinnati, Ohio. Ellis, a generous, hardworking, and selfless man, was the father of Deborah Woodall, Jeffery Brown, and Anna Brown. He was the grandfather of Wayne Brown, Michael Brown, Cierra Brown, and Cheyanne Brown as well as the great grandfather of several grandchildren. In his early years, Ellis left school after the eighth grade to help support his family. In his early twenties, he met the love of his life in their local church, and they later were married for over 50 years. Ellis was a man not only known for his Hawaiian shirts and ball caps, but also for his kindness and belief in love being the most important thing we have in this life. His memory and spirit will continue to live on through the many hearts he touched. Prior to his death, he requested his loved ones to not have a formal funeral. Family and friends will be contacted regarding a memorial service at a future date.
