James E. Fritz, Sr.

James E. Fritz, Sr., a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by those who loved him.

James was a Master First-Class Welder, a skilled craftsman who took great pride in his work and in providing for his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford H. Fritz, Sr. and Rosemary Grace Hesser-Fritz, as well as his siblings, Clifford H. Fritz, Jr., Diane Roberts, and Carol Roberts.

James is survived by his children, James (Sherry) Fritz Jr., Janet E. Fritz, John E. (Jennifer) Fritz, Jason E. (Mercedes)Fritz, and Joshua I. Fritz and his sister Joyce Fritz. 

He also leaves behind many grandchildren, including Greg Hundley, Gwendolyn Burch, James Fritz III, Jessica Fritz Langley, Jason Wright, Alexis Fritz, Jaxton Fritz, and Andrew G. Riggs along with great-grandchildren Charlie Kay, Grayson Langley, and Cadence.

James will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his craftsmanship, and the many lives he touched throughout his life. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Visitation will be held at Tredway Funeral Home, 2131 Cameron Ave., Norwood on Monday August 31 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. A funeral service will begin at 7:30 p.m.
