James D.  Gearhart Jr. age 79 a resident of Norwood passed away August 4, 2021.

He was a barber in  Montgomery Square and Fairfield for over 40 years. James met the love of his life , Norma and they were married in 1978.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Margie Gearhart and stepson, James Coomer.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Norma Gearhart, sister, Jerilynn Stewart; half sister, Angela; sisters in-law, Barbara Mills and Phyllis Penny (Jerry) ; brother in-law, Jerry Coomer (Linda) and close friend, Alvin Struck (Betty) and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held at Tredway Funeral Home 2131 Cameron Ave Norwood on Monday, August 9, 2021 from 4-8 p.m.  Funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at 11:00 am at New Haven Missionary Baptist Church 2417 Indian Mound Ave, Interment Rest Haven Memorial Park.
