Joshua Anthony Acres passed away August 17, 2020. He was born on January 7, 1988 to

Valerie Barton (Acres) and James Matthews. He is survived by his son Jordan Acres and

leaves behind his loving grandmother, Joann Acres (Roberts), sisters Ashley Conners, Erica

Conners and Savannah Matthews along with his brother Montana Matthews and numerous

nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother,

Valerie Barton and his grandfather Willie Acres.

Josh grew up playing basketball for West Clermont High and it was his favorite sport. Whenever

he got the chance he was either playing or watching basketball. He also loved dogs and even

completed a course in dog training. His greatest love was his son Jordan. Josh was raised by

his grandma Joann and she says what she will remember most was his heart of gold. He will be

greatly missed.

Services will be held at Tredway-Pollitt-Staver Funeral Home in Norwood on Monday, August

24, 2020. Friends are welcome to attend the viewing at 6:00 p.m. with services directly following

at 7:00p.m.
