Merritt, Mary Louise (nee Schneider), 76. Passed away peacefully January 27, 2025 at her home surrounded by family. She was born August 5, 1948 in Hornbach, Germany. She came to America with her mother and stepfather at the age of 9. She married the love of her life Zachary Merritt Sr on September 10, 1991. Mary worked as a security guard until her retirement in 2014. She was an avid animal lover. She is survived by 8 children, 2 daughters, Christine Jones and Melissa Alfrey both of Middletown, 6 sons, Zachary Jr of Middletown, Niel (Sarah) of Goshen, Christopher of Middletown, Franklin of Warrens, Wisconsin, Brian and Patrick both of Middletown, 22 grandchildren and 15 great-children, 2 brothers, Ronald (Evelyn), and Kevin, 2 nephews David and Christopher and many friends that loved her. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 25 years Zachary Sr, 1 granddaughter Andrea Merritt, and 2 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Gathering will take place at Tredway Funeral Home, 2131 Cameron Ave, Norwood on Monday from 3 pm until the Celebration of Life Service which will start at 4 pm.
