Ruby Peters Obituary

Ruby Peters passed away peacefully on June 18, 2026.

Ruby was the beloved wife of the late Earl Peters and was preceded in death by her cherished daughter, Lois Gayle Carter. She was a proud grandmother to Tonya Douglass (née Ghantous), Richard Greene (Lisa), and Michael Greene (Jennifer). Ruby was also blessed with many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her tremendous joy throughout her life.

Ruby will be remembered for her loving heart, gentle spirit, and deep devotion to her family. She treasured time spent with those she loved and leaves behind a legacy of strength, kindness, and faith that will continue through the generations of her family.

Family and friends are invited to attend visitation on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., with funeral services beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will immediately follow at Graceland Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Queen City Hospice in Ruby’s memory.

Though she will be deeply missed, Ruby’s memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends who were blessed to know and love her.
