Virginia Pape Obituary

Virginia Pape (nee Mathie), 85, beloved wife of the late Theodore G Pape died peacefully on December 20, 2021. Daughter of the late Gilbert and Helen Mathie and cherished sister of the late Naomi Baker. Loving mother of the late Ken Pape, Ray Pape (Belinda), the late Jeff Pape, and Julie (Brian) Dietrich.
Devoted grandmother of Aaron, Candis, Nicole, and Gabrielle. Devoted great grandmother of Grace, Lucy, Jameson, Jackson, and Jacob. Loving aunt of Barb, Becky, John, David, and Beth. Loving great aunt of Chris, Sara, Mike, Matt, AJ, Meghan, Erin, Emily, Emma, Ian, Colin, Chloe, Olivia, and Payton. Great, great aunt of 12 beautiful children.
Born in Green Hills, Virginia (known by all as Ginny) graduated from Mt. Healthy High School, married her sweetheart, and began her family. She loved cooking and was most famous for her german potato salad, hot slaw, and 10 pound cheesecakes. Ginny adored children. She spent many years as a Sunday school teacher/coordinator as well as a girl scout leader and council president. She was an amazing woman who loved her Lord, loved her family, and loved serving others in a multitude of ways. Ginny sang in the church choir, served Church Women United, and was a current board member and past president of Southern Ohio Synod WELCA. She loved to babysit, read books, cross-stitch baby blankets and tablecloths for family, drink diet coke, and especially enjoyed sitting in the parking lot of St. Rose church watching HER river.
She was fiercely loved by her family and friends, and her strength and faith will live on in our hearts forever.  As she would say, "Fully Rely on God!  [🐸] "
