William Stemann

William Stemann, 81 of Pleasant Ridge, died on Wednesday, November 11, 2020. William was born on June 30, 1939 in Silverton, Ohio and was preceded in death by his Parents Frank Stemann and Marie (Zinzer) Stemann, siblings Joe Stemann, Rita Funk, and Mary Condon. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lorraine (Laake) Stemann; sons Mark (Terri) Stemann, Thomas Stemann, Richard (Ranee) Stemann; daughters Julia (Stemann) Smothers and Teresa Stemann; 11 grandchildren and beloved extended family.
William attended grade school at St. Peter and Paul in Norwood and High school at Purcell. He was a caddy at Losantiville Country Club. William demonstrated his service to the community early in life as a volunteer firefighter in Madison Place and later in life as a volunteer of Cincinnati Citizens on Patrol. He met the love of his life, Lorraine, at a dance in Ault Park and celebrated 56 years of marriage this year. William worked at Gibson Greeting Cards for 34 years. His dedication to hard work was a trait he successfully instilled in all his children. He was an avid bowler and played in various leagues around the city. In his spare time, he loved landscaping his yard, going for long car rides and reading. William was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds, Bengals, Notre Dame and University of Cincinnati. His special brand of humor brought a smile to the face of all who knew him and he will be deeply missed. Visitation will take place Tuesday November 17, 2020 6:00pm to 8:00pm at 2961 Madison Rd., Oakley, Ohio 45209. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30am on Wednesday, November 18th, 2020 at St. Cecilia Parish, Oakley. Burial will be at Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery.
